DK Holdings, ISO-certified manufacturer of precision diamond tooling is celebrating its 65th anniversary today, 24th April 2024 – a milestone the company’s chairman, Brian Salter, and the entire team are immensely thrilled with.

“I am extremely proud of our achievements over the past 65 years,” stated Salter. “It all started in Marden, just a few miles from where we are now. John (known as Jack) Dawkins, a true entrepreneur, set out to produce electroplated diamond/CBN coated cutting tools principally for the engineering sector.”

The company continued going from strength to strength, moving to its premises in Station Approach, Staplehurst, expanding over the years to meet increased customer demand. Weathering many challenges over the past 65 years, Salter credits a number of factors for the company’s continued success.

“I must start with our greatest asset; our staff,” Salter continued. “A talented, creative and flexible team that has been willing and able to rise and adapt to all the challenges we have faced over the past six decades. Secondly, our longstanding relationships with customers and suppliers with shared values of honesty, decency and respect, build trust and goodwill. I look forward to the future with excitement.”

Anyway, our landlord has deemed that with Spring now in the air, it’s time to turn off the heating and save money. This presents a challenge typing when I can’t feel my fingers.
